The Devil – Privacy Policy
How the game The Devil (package name com.nikhiljiby.thedevil) handles your information.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
The short version
The Devil does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal information. It plays completely offline. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no in-app purchases.
What stays on your phone
The game saves a few settings on your device only: look speed, brightness, whether the frame-rate counter is shown, the difficulty you chose last, and your best escape times. This information never leaves your phone, and it is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data in Android settings.
Permissions
The game does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. It uses your phone's vibration for in-game effects.
Its Android package also lists a few standard permissions (internet and network status, running briefly in the background, keeping the phone awake) that come with the Unity game engine and Google Play's game-download library. The game does not use them to collect or send any information about you.
Google Play
The game is downloaded through Google Play. Google may collect information about downloads and app crashes under its own privacy policy. The developer only sees anonymous, combined statistics that Google provides.
Children
The Devil is a horror game made for teenagers and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
