UPCOMING GAME / GAME DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
The Devil: Horror EscapeFirst-person horror game · Android
Midnight, in a dead clockmaker's mansion. The devil lives here now, inside the tall wind-up man the clockmaker built, and at 3:00 AM he comes for your soul. I'm designing and building the whole game myself, and it's coming soon to Google Play.

01 / THE STORY
A lonely clockmaker built a tall wind-up man to keep him company, but he could never make it move. So he made a deal with the devil: life for his creation, in exchange for his house and his soul. The devil kept his word. He moved into the wind-up body himself.
Every night at 3:00 AM, the devil's hour, he collects a soul. Tonight you wake up in a strange bed upstairs, at midnight.
02 / THE DEVIL
The game is about listening and hiding, not fighting. He's blind in the dark, but every running step and creaking door tells him where you are, and the brass key turning in his back gives him away before he turns a corner.

03 / THE ESCAPE
Find three pocket watches, each stopped at a different hour, and the key to the Grand Clock. Set the clock to the watches' hours and the front door unbolts. Then find the padlock key down in the cellar and slip out into the night. Somewhere down there lies a sledgehammer: one good swing knocks him down for three minutes.

04 / THE BUILD
The mansion is modelled in Blender, from the bedrooms upstairs down to the cellar workbench where the wind-up man was built, furnished with photo-scanned props and lit by candles and moonlight.
Made with Meshy from my own reference art, then animated in Unity: a slow, stiff walk, feet that find every stair, and a winding key that really turns.
One graphics setting, tuned so the game runs on older and low-end Android phones too, with real recorded sound and touch controls.
The game contains jump scares and is not made for children. Privacy policy
